How Does It Work?
You will be tasked with designing a multi-page games website using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. This website will have a login page, two timed games, a winners landing page, and an ‘about the developer’ page. The user will have to log in, then pass each game in a certain amount of time to progress to the next page. The last page will be a ‘winners’ landing page.
You will be writing the logic for logging into the site, and for each of the games. You will learn how to take inputs from the user and process them using JavaScript functions, before giving output back to the user. You will learn how to add logic for the countdown function, and for blocking the user from progressing until they have passed the game.
This might sound hard, but the course will guide you through the entire process, and everything you need to know to complete the site will be in your coursework. You will receive instructions on how to put the game together, and be set extra challenges to make the games harder or easier. The course will take you through each step of designing and developing the website, and will give you everything you need to know to create it.
The course will give you hands-on learning, so while you are learning about arrays, variables, math functions, conditional statements, and JavaScript objects. You will be putting these new concepts into practice by building your game.
