Not being happy with where your life is going is a feeling I can relate to. My life was extremely different before we started travelling – and on paper it wasn’t bad at all. We had stable jobs in software development in London, we rented a nice flat in Hackney, and we had a great group of friends. But the problem was that I could see exactly where my life was headed, and I wasn’t excited about it.

My days were easy to fill with distractions, but looking ahead, I felt trapped, uninspired, and stuck. I could see people living the kind of life I wanted, but I had no idea how to find my passion and get the life of my dreams. So when these messages come in, I can completely relate.

Back then, I wish I had someone to tell me all of the things I could accomplish in my life with just a few changes.

I wish I had someone who would tell me “the world is huge, why are you staying in a small pocket of it, feeling unfulfilled? Go out and live!”.

I wish I had someone who would lay all of my options on the table and give me the first steps of each one, so that I could pick out my favourite and give it a try.
