[Now adding in client responses] We create brand stories for Irish food producers using our design, photography, video and copywriting skills.
Our goal is to communicate what we do, and to communicate that our business has evolved from a packaging design business into a brand storytelling business.
Our target audience is potential clients. We imagine these people might visit our site having heard of us through existing clients, through our own online advertising or through direct contact by us.
I am updating an exisiting website
www.designformarket.ie (we also own the .com)
We want to improve our current site which has become sloppy and no longer communicates the services that we provide. The focus on packaging design is no longer useful and there are many case studies which are not attractive to potential clients. We need to communicate the holistic approach we take to branding – logo design, packaging, online presence, brand story-telling etc. The logo is dated and we will provide a new one. The focus is on packaging design which is not useful in 2021. The design is insipid. There is no video and little photography apart from product imagery.

I want to offer businesses cost effective, responsive and accessible websites that work across multiple devices / platforms. This will include options for e-commerce shop, online payments, booking system, subscription service, contact forms. Option to offer SEO and website maintenance as additional packages / upgrades.
Help businesses grow their online presence and drive traffic and sales through their website (and do the same for myself by using my website as a landing ground and portfolio).
Retailers with less than 10 employees (if any) that are looking to upscale their business online, for example, people selling through marketplaces like Instagram / Etsy. Those that are looking to give their business a perceived legitimacy by having a professional website. Preferably self-employed women. Opportunity to tap into the trading online voucher offered by local enterprise offices.

I'm planning on creating my own personal website/portfolio, whereby I can create and promote my own Freelance Web Development and Design business. I hope to offer services for web development & design, web maintenance and to help businesses increase what it is they are wanting their clients to achieve from visiting their website.
My main goal in creating my own personal portfolio/website is to showcase my premium web development and design services with the hope to empower businesses and entrepreneurs to fully launch and transition their businesses online by creating a premium functioning website for them! My goal in creating my own portfolio website is to enable me to travel worldwide, while still earning a great income and making my own successful business. Being location independent and becoming my own boss is very important to me hence I would love to ensure my website is attractive to both Irish clients and those world wide (I think creating a neutral slick website is so important in conveying this).
I would love to ensure my website is attractive to both Irish clients and those world wide. I am Irish based myself right now, however I hope to jet off traveling the world within the next few months, so I want to make my brand and web development services attractive to people worldwide.(I think creating a neutral slick website is so important in conveying this).4 I do NOT want to limit myself to just targeting small companies as this will then limit my income. I would like to target businesses who are looking to grow and expand and those who are 'up and coming' and willing to put money into the expansion of their business. Im finding it hard to specify for example a specific sector (i.e. PT's etc).

I am a freelance social media manager for the past 6 months. (I left the navy after 20 years as it wasn't my passion anymore) As I've become busier I've realised I can only do SMM for a small number of clients so I've started to create social media strategies for businesses to implement themselves and am available for consultation monthly afterwards. I want to integrate web development into my services.
Provide information on my services, allow booking consultations, have an area for a free download and sell digital products such as e/books, templates, items created on google drive and hopefully mini courses in the future. Ideally I'd like to maintain my current SMM clients and focus on strategies and web development to grow
I like working with hair salons and have a beautician as a client also but I don't want to pigeon hole myself and lose the possibility of clients not in that niche if you get me. I'd like to build websites for freelancers or solopreneurs also.

I have a wp.com site but I know you were talking on your stories about wp.org. Can my site be transferrable to .org or am I better off deleting my .com account and starting from scratch with a .org while I have my current domain, i would like it without the high fen, but that's only a minor thing

My company will offer web development services - that's the main services I want to represent on the website. However, I also have completed courses in digital marketing and digital strategy which I would like to incorporate into my company a little down the road. For now primary focus for the company is to be a Wordpress web development service, so mastering the Wordpress skillset as best I can and offering that service first before expanding my brand to digital marketing services also.
I want my website to feel warm and inviting, so the customer coming to my page, knows and feels like we care about what they want to achieve with building their online presence. I want the website to showcase what I do, description of services, examples /demonstrations, I want the website to allow the customer to engage further with me on the services I can offer so a forum to contact me with queriers etc. I do plan on having a blog element also - which will be particularly in use when I expand to the digital marketing services. My personality is very much so that I like working with people, obviously I want this to be my full time job someday soon - so making money from this service is a goal, but I also would like to do that by letting people feel the person building the website cares about what there building for their customer. So I would love the website to have warm, pastel type colours, clear on services we offer and easy to navigate for the customer. I love images and colour and often feel they have more of an impact them to many words on a page...
For my short term plan - I would like to offer a services to a target market of smaller business who need help getting online. I see a real gap here in the market recently with friends and family who have set up small business and need a functional, smart but basic website to demonstrate their services. For my long term plan - (6 months) - With confidence built I would like to expand to working with a target audience of bigger businesses with more complex website needs. Here incorporating the digital marketing element of the business also.

I would like to create websites for people that want to grow their following and bring more people to their business and possible online shops. I would like to focus on small businesses that might have great ideas and huge dreams and help them bring them to life through a webpage to get their ideas and dreams out to the public. So many businesses these days just need that little helping hand and an eye catching web page to give them the boost.
My goal would be to help small businesses get noticed and get the footfall either to their store in person or even online. To help them connect with their goal audience and really bring their dreams to life through our website that we will build together.
My target audience would be small businesses in possibly smaller towns or tourist hotspots versus the city slickers. To help them compete with the bigger cities or towns and businesses. The ideas of food trucks which are popping up all over Ireland and coffee trucks , these types of small businesses I would like to focus on.

Upon completing this questionnaire, I will start thinking more about branding, colours and logos etc. I really like the websites that have been given to us as references. I love how Lidia makes the case for us to work with her immediately, and Richels give the option for people 'know do not know where to start - have a chat!'. Lisa's simple approach is more the idea I would go for - simple and easy to navigate, so people feel comfortable, but still looks professional. https://beckag.com/ is an example of an Agri-website and the colours often associated with it. https://philipmcburneyracing.com/ and https://equicoachonline.com/ is an example of an equine website I would like to be able to create.

**UPDATED QUESTIONNAIRE I forgot to add websites the client likes in my previous questionnaire** These are Katys words about her yoga business - I am a certified yoga teacher and registered midwife running Sana Yoga, offering both active and restorative yoga classes, along with meditation classes. Pregnancy yoga classes coming soon (training in progress). I also take private clients for 1-2-1 classes. In all of my classes I encourage students to listen to and respect their body, its power and limitations. I believe yoga is less about aesthetics and more about turning inward to yourself. Central to Sana Yoga is the belief that through practising meditation, pranayama and asana, we can all come to feel at home in our bodies and develop a compassionate inner voice which can be used as a tool to cope with all aspects of life.
Katy would like to create a base for her students, and somewhere to show her timetable, to easily book and pay for classes (she currently manage this myself using social media, emails and paypal) ideally I would also like a place to share knowledge (in written/blog format).

Myself - a new, free-lancing website developer. I would like to make websites for small business probably to begin with - and show people who may not be 'tech-savy' ie, farmers, how to get the best out of their online presence.
Provide information, take bookings, show some samples of work, connect with clients. show how traditional business like agriculture and equestrianism will BENEFIT from an online presence
Smaller independent businesses. My niche is tutoring, agriculture and equestrianism, so I could set up booking systems for facilities, lesson availability, stabling availability (for equine businesses). Tutoring, could be similar, book a time and date for tuition. Agriculture, potentially for farmers who sell livestock and machinery. I feel teachers and agri/equine is where I have most knowledge

This is not concrete as of yet - but definitely Home, About, Services, Samples, Contact. I think simplicity will be key with my clients - plain, easy to read text, as these are traditionally people who do not work with computers often. Teachers and tutors may be a bit more tech savvy, but they want something simple - possibly I can have a separate page for them showing more colours that would attarct parents and kids.

To enable this artist to start selling her amazing work online without the need for art galleries or third party websites such as etsy etc. She is not great with technology so I need to make it simplistic in design and easy for her to use.
Anyone with an interest in buying reasonably priced art for their homes or anyone who would be interested in a personalized art piece for themselves or as a gift for a loved one. A website to showcase my future web development skills!! I had spoken to a couple of people who I was potentially going to use as my guinea pig for the course but it got a little complicated so I decided to create a website for me so I can focus more on the course itself rather than client management. I am also doing a VA course so I was thinking that the website can include both services - web development and VA.
Having an aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate space that I can direct potential clients to.
I love the idea of working with super small businesses and mom-and-pop stores, people who haven't even thought of going online or whose current online presence is weak. That's actually a really hard question to think off the top of my head. I feel like we better remember the horrific websites that we struggle to navigate which is sad really! I've always loved the Airbnb website and being totally honestly, having followed you on instagram, when you post on our stories of all the new websites being launched I always swipe up and I always think they're amazing. My brand will be designing and developing websites for small businesses. Specifically, I would target small businesses who are starting to become relatively established and want to now grow their business and establish their brand further. For example people who have scaled their business and can offer their services to a wider audience then just their instagram following or its not feasible to offer their services / take bookings or sell their products over DM's anymore. I will offer the functionality for them to showcase what they offer, how they offer it, sell their products/services via e-commerce, have a membership area and allow clients to book services online.
the website that i will create on this course will advertise my ability to provide the services listed above and the kind of business that i will specifically cater to.
My target audience are small businesses who are now looking to scale and grow their business further than their instagram page - i know SO many people who have started small businesses over the last year and they're based only on instagram (and maybe FB) but i really feel like i could tap into that market. Envisiondesign.ie - liked the format of this site and how it outlined an in-depth explanation of the design process for potential clients. Murphyclarkdesign.com- layout and animations on the site.

For myself.
I literally made a website on wordpress.com just to have a presence, no clue what I was doing. It's there in the background but I don't direct people to it.
Provide information on my services, allow booking consultations, have an area for a free download and sell templates and hopefully mini courses in the future. Ideally I'd like to maintain my SMM clients and focus on strategies and web development to grow
I like working with hair salons and have a beautician as a client also but I don't want to pigeon hole myself and lose the possibility of clients not in that niche if you get me. I'd like to build websites for freelancers or solopreneurs also.
I am updating an exisiting website

I don't really like anything about it. I'm literally going to start from scratch. I am currently working with a brand designer so I can incorporate the results into my website. I have a wp.com site but I know you were talking on your stories about wp.org. Can my site be transferrable to .org or am I better off deleting my .com account and starting from scratch with .org

Services, Home, About, Blog, Contact, Gallery/Portfolio, Shop/Downloadable products - can these be added but hidden for later. What I have is a questionnaire on Google Docs that I email once contact is made, should I keep it there and send when a potential client enquires or have it on the site itself

For myself.
I want to set up a freelance business that specialises in building websites for clients, as well as offering marketing support. I want the site to be focused around my personal brand which will involve travelling and working on the road (I'm currently converting a campervan with my partner and we plan to travel Europe next year...!)
I want the website to predominantly showcase my skills, but I also want people to buy from me as a person. I strongly believe that people buy from people, so it would be great to have a heavier impact around my personal brand. Ideally I would like to focus on my passion for customer service and that I always go the extra mile for my clients. I want the site to include my travel blog as well as I plan on taking my business on the road in the future.
I want the target audience to be people like me, women who want to be independent and have their own business and I'm thinking maybe in similar areas too so women who travel and work like I'll be doing. I want to help women feel empowered when it comes to having a website and their marketing options, like the possibilities are endless.

1) The transition and sleekness of this website 'Sophie Squarespace' is so cool and the vibe Im looking to bring to my website. I love the colours and the layout. https://www.bigcatcreative.com/templates/sophie-squarespace-template 2) What I love about the Frank Body website is how fun it is, attractive to the eye and the font throughout the website.

3)What I love about this ETQ Amsterdam website is how sleek, sexy and thin the website is (the black and white bold colouring of the website sets a slick tone and this is what Im hoping to do too) https://www.etq-amsterdam.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMImOW0uL_p7wIVmu7tCh0W_wAEEAAYASAAEgK4_PD_BwE 4) What I love about Mindsparkle mags website is again the classy vibe from it, its very sleek but bold which again is what I want, simple yet eyecatching and bold. https://mindsparklemag.com/
